Laboratory test benches developed by Blum-Novotest for transmissions are used to operate and conduct audit test runs, field complaint investigations and vulnerability analyses. Preliminary tryout transmissions are handled as well. The entire test bench is contained in a soundproof cabin. The middle area of the chamber is designed to be “bulletproof”. This means that it is constructed with special steel plates and reinforced safety glass. The control room is installed outside of the testing chamber. All doors are locked and monitored during testing.

Equipment
- Soundproof cabin (bulletproof in testing area)
- Control room is separate from the testing chamber (safety consideration)
- Lifting equipment for loading and unloading the transmission (optional)
- Visualisation system for test bench control
- Computer system for test sequence control and data acquisition
- Noise analysis
The NovoPS test stand software is a Windows-based solution that is programmed in-house and optimised for the respective test task. As the interface to the user, the uncomplicated user interface provides intuitive access to all functions of the test stand. Moreover, both the connection of the test stand to the customer's conveyor systems as well as its integration into the existing network environment is taken into account. This enables the data acquired to be processed and evaluated independently of the test stand.
